7 Signs That You Need to Visit the Dentist
It is very important that you visit your dentist regularly so that they can monitor your oral health. Toothache
If you have a toothache, you should see a dentist promptly as they can provide you with emergency toothache relief. They can complete a proper diagnosis and recommend suitable treatment accordingly. If you are unable to eat or drink hot or cold foods and beverages, it means your toothache is severe, and bacteria can be present in your mouth.
Canker Sores
These are among the most common types of oral lesions, but if you have one that will not go away, it is a sign that you need to visit your dentist. They will perform a biopsy to ensure it is not cancerous and will monitor it going forward to see whether it grows.
Consistent Headaches
Oral pain can lead to head pain, and if left untreated, mouth and jaw pain can turn into headaches. Grinding or clenching your teeth at night can also cause painful headaches, so you may need to wear a nightguard if that is the case.
A Numb Tooth
This is a sign that an infection has spread to its root, so it is a must that you see your dentist right away. A root canal may be necessary, and your dentist can suggest the treatment that is most effective.
Aching and Bleeding Gums
If you see that your gums are aching or bleeding after flossing, it can be a sign of gum disease or gingivitis, so you need to see your dentist so that they can provide you with a proper diagnosis.
